Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is a American TV chef and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spikey blonde hair and pumped up personality reveals easy methods to master and removes intimidation of restaurants dishes in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best restaurants within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy as well as competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell was born within New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. I couldn't learn or do enough. Following graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian food and culture during her stay in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity as both a mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels very fortunate to share what I love most in life with others.
