Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News in July of 2004 and began reporting on many topics, including that of the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation and the school shootings at Bailey, Colorado. Nair became a part of ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. In her new role she was responsible for anchoring live coverage and news briefs for ABC's network on the internet. Nair was the co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC starting on September 17, 2008 until February 18, 2011. In both of the shows the show, she first worked together with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. On Thursday, February 17 the 17th of February, 2011 Nair revealed that Friday February 18was her last night on air on World News Now. It would also be her last day working for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor at KDVR Denver, was her direct successor. In all three segments of World News Now's February 18 program, Nair was honored by her former colleagues as well the late Jeremy Hubbard. In her last day she treated all the team to breakfast.
